ABOUT ME

People often ask…

What is it like working with you?

While I am serious about my work and expect those around me to be detail-oriented, I also enjoy a good laugh. Humor helps maintain my perspective on what is important.

What do you consider to be some of your unique strengths?

My father always told me that if I put my head down and work hard, then I would be successful at whatever I do in life. I try to put those words into action every day in the legal profession. Additionally, I speak with sincerity and conviction, which I like to think promotes a connection with those around me, whether they agree with me or not on the particular issue.

Are there any special achievements or qualifications that enhance your contribution to your practice areas?

I completed a clerkship with the Honorable Thomas A. Russo of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit before completing a clerkship with the Honorable James E. Lockemy on the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Those invaluable experiences with the judiciary provide a deeper understanding of the life of a case from trial to appeal. Additionally, my involvement with the Junior League of Columbia contributes to the development of my leadership skills in and out of the legal community.”

In general, would you say that you are highly devoted to your career?

Yes, and I am always appreciative of my family, friends, and mentors who have supported and continue to support me so that I can maintain a high devotion to the legal profession.

In My Spare Time

  • I serve on the Board of the Eta Gamma Housing Corporation and volunteer with the youth group at my church.
  • Otherwise, I am enjoying time with my husband, daughter, and dog, cheering for the Gamecocks, and traveling to new locales.
